(A) Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V: Primary Stage
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

(B) Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII:Elementary Stage
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Guidelines
Ø Before you proceed to register yourself for entrance examination you must ensure that you have read and understood the eligibility criteria for each discipline / programme for which you intend to take the entrance examination in the prospectus.
Ø You should fill your correct basic and academic details like Name, DOB, Address, Contact No., and qualifying exam details subsequently under circumstances.
Ø Chose you password between 6-10 characters. Please remember your password and dont share with others.

How to Apply
1. Apply for PSTET-2012 ON-LINE through official website http://www.tetpunjab.com up to 13.05.2013.
2. Click on to New Registration & Candidate Login link.
3. Before final submission of online Application form, read the declaration carefully and give your consent on it.
4. The candidate can verify application status on PSTET website after a fortnight of submission. If you see any discrepancy,  to helpline number given on website
5. After successful filling of On-line Application Form, a Confirmation Page will be generated for each and every candidate bearing the entire information as filled by them along with a Unique Application Number which the candidate can use in future correspondence. Registration number will be allotted at the time of Admit card generation.
6. After successful payment confirmation, there will be a link in candidate login to print their application form. The candidates is required take a printout of application form and send it to XXXXXXX, XXXX, XX latest by 18th May, 2013.
7. Please ensure before dispatching the Application Form that:
            The candidate has signed the Confirmation Page at the specified place. 
            The candidate has pasted the recent passport size photograph on the space marked for it..
 8. The Confirmation Page must be dispatched in an Envelope of size 12"x9" only and paste the computer generated address slip on the envelope subscribing "APPLICATION FOR PSTET-2012".
9. While sending do not enclose any photocopy of Educational or Caste Certificate along with this application form.
10. The Confirmation Page, sent by courier shall be rejected. The Confirmation Page shall not be received personally.
